Civil War Bride Quilt Block 4

I have finally finished, well in November, the 4th block from the Civil War Bride Quilt. I was able to complete 4 blocks in 2011. My goal is to complete a few more in 2012. Maybe I'll even finish the top. Yeah, probably not.

This is Columbo better known as CoCo around here. He loves to hide underneath the Christmas tree and avoid getting run over by one of the boys.

The new Christmas Tree Skirt.

I decided to make a new Christmas tree skirt or in this case tree pants since it is square and has a slit half way up the middle. I found this pattern from the blog Happy Zombie by Monica Solorio-Snow. It was super easy to make and looked really nice under the tree. The cats loved sleeping on it.
It's machine quilted, hand embroidered and I used velcro tabs to close it from the back.

I made myself a new stocking this year too.

I needed a new stocking this year so I drafted a pattern, used some Christmas themed charm squares that I had and made myself a new one. The back is made up of a bunch of my different scraps that I am desperately trying to use up. I love the Blessed Mother so I put her on the back of my stocking.
