Working on Garden Quilt Top
I have been trying to finish up the applique on my pieced and appliqued garden quilt. i started this in Mary Lou Weidmans class in May and have been working on and off ever since. There are lots of cats and birds. It's very colorful and makes me happy to look at it. I have a few more bugs and butterflies to put down and the sun needs to sewn down. Just trying to figure out what I should do to the outside edge. I need a small border but I don't know what to put down. Hmmm. have to think about it.

Coeur d'Alene
This was the beginning of a walking trail next to Lake Coeur D'Alene. The moose has a tiny mouse on his head.
Mary Lou feeding Gus at the buggy barn.
Mary Lou took us on a trip around Spokane and we went to a quilt store called the Buggy Barn. This was Gus the owner's horse. He loved granola bars and Mary Lou fed him one she had in her purse.
Funky Chicken from Mary Lou Weidmans Retreat.
We were working on Hoochy Blocks of animals during our quilt retreat in Post Falls, Idaho. This is a very rough looking chicken. Very festive but rough. These blocks are a blast to make because nothing has to match and you can still usually tell what the thing is suppose to be.
