I made this as an addition to a quilt I made my mom years ago. This is the two grandchildren that have been born since the original quilt was made. Drake in February 2007 and Emily in November of 2011.

John's new Christmas stocking

I made John a new stocking for this Christmas. He has been using a really cute stuffed animal SF 49ers stocking for years. I made him one with a Woody and 3 snowmen. He's in the center and Jake and Nick are on either side of him. This was like making a small Mary Lou Weidman quilt.

Updated Swap Tops and Civil War Bride Quilt

We had a bird swap and the top ones are my blocks and the bottom ones are the ones I received in the swap. I am currently working on a top with all the birds and some new flowers.



A BEE swap. The top 10 are the bees I received, I made the bottom 10 of them, so that I could make the top I designed. Most of the flowers in the center were made over the years in different Mary Lou Weidman classes.



This is a quilt I made for Ayana. It's about 40 by 40 and it's done in a block called the 10 minute block. It only has 3 seams to make a complete block. It was really easy and made a really pretty cathedral window design in the block with virtually no work. The back is so cute it's Anime girls.




I finished the 3rd block of the Civil War Bride Quilt. This one is the strawberry block. There is also a picture of the 3 blocks that I have completed.



I am currently working on a fish block swap with Mary Lou Weidman's yahoo group. We all will make 12 blocks and exchange them. I will get one of mine back and 11 different ones from the other ladies.




This is how finished my owl block swap top is. I am currently working on the final outside border of flying geese made out of really pretty fall leaves.

This is my garden story quilt. It's almost finished. I need to put a final border on the outside edges and then all of the tops will head off to a quilter. There is no way I could ever quilt these. Most of them are so big and I do not feel comfortable quilting anything bigger than a baby quilt.

More Civil War Blocks

So slowly but shirley I am moving along with the Civil War Bride blocks. The second block was finished a couple of months ago, the third block is almost finished. There's also a close up of the bird from the first block. The owl top is actually finished well almost it needs an outside border and then it will be complete.

Christmas Quilt Embellishment

I am working on embellishing the appliqued Christmas quilt. I found some very cute plastic charms that I sewed down on the tree. I also added very cool red pompoms as garland.

Owls and more owls

I am designing a quilt top with the owls that I received in the Mary Lou Weidman owl swap. So far I have a tree designed with layers of owls. Not sure where I am going from here but ideas will come with time.

My Second Block

This is the beginning of block 6 in the Civil War Bride Quilt. It is my second block but it's the 6th one in the pattern book. This will have about 40 leaves or more on it before it's done.

Civil War Bride Quilt

I decided to start working on a 20 block appliqued quilt called the Civil War Bride Quilt. I have completed one block, well almost one, I still have to do the feet. I chose to do this on a lightly polka dotta background. This is going to be a long on going project. I predict at least a year and that's if I don't get bored and give up.

This is what the completed quilt will look like except mine will be on a golden background and a little brighter fabrics.
